Terms & Conditions

So that we can continue providing KIDZ LIVE Music sessions during the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve put together the following policy, which contains rules and guidelines designed to safeguard our Music Leaders, participants and parents/guardians.

The measures we are taking include:

  • Clear communication and information provided to all attendees regarding social distancing requirements and attendance procedures;

  • Musical activities to be explored in allocated spaces and individual resource packs provided;

  • Shorter sessions (30 mins);

  • Extra time between sessions for safe change-over and cleaning;

  • Allocated space for Music Leaders to support social distancing;

  • Completion of Children’s Activities Association Infection Control Training;

  • Information and support provided to all KIDZ LIVE Music Practitioners.

This policy has been created in accordance with official Government Coronavirus (COVID‑19) guidance and support (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus). This policy is being constantly reviewed and will be updated in accordance with changing government policy.

It is important that you have read and understood this Policy before attending and/or participating in KIDZ LIVE music sessions. You will also need to read and sign the Kidz Live Participation Waiver before you can attend or participate.

  1. KIDZ LIVE baby and toddler music sessions are for families who feel comfortable attending live music sessions with social distancing and current COVID-19 safety measures in place.

  2. Parents/guardians are responsible for their child/ren at all times whilst attending KIDZ LIVE music sessions and must adhere to the terms and conditions of this Policy.

  3. All KIDZ LIVE music sessions will be mixed ages (0-4 year old’s) this term. This will be reviewed as guidance changes.

  4. KIDZ LIVE is aware of age-related social distancing readiness and that children will want and need to move during the 30-minute sessions. We want all attendees to feel comfortable in our sessions and understand the challenges surrounding this, particularly for toddlers. The sessions will involve moments to move within your allocated space and actions to explore together, however, social distancing will be maintained as much as possible to ensure KIDZ LIVE face-to-face sessions can take place safely.

  5. KIDZ LIVE knows that opportunities to explore music are vital for young children and in particular opportunities to explore musical experiences with others. We aim to provide these opportunities in a safe space where children and families can come together to enjoy music and although things will be a little different for the time being, the benefits of engaging together remain essential.

  6. KIDZ LIVE has the right to refuse entry to anyone not following the terms and conditions of this Policy and the right to require anyone not following the terms and conditions of this Policy to leave a KIDZ LIVE session.

Social Distancing

  1. During all KIDZ LIVE Music Sessions parents/guardians will need to ensure they maintain two metres social distancing as much as possible to ensure sessions are in line with government guidelines. Attendees will be allocated a space which will be at least two metres from other families and the Music Leader.

  2. Please enter the venue and sit directly in your allocated space. Please remain in your allocated space throughout the session unless you need to use the toilet.

  3. Many venues will have a one-way system in place or procedures for reducing contact with others. Information regarding specific venue guidance on entry, exit and moving around the venue will be provided before your first session. Use of Face Coverings

  1. Face Coverings are compulsory in all KIDZ LIVE venues on entry and exit to the venue and when using the toilet. Once seated in your allocated space you can remove any face coverings. Children under 11 do not need to wear a face covering.

  2. Please bring your own face coverings and take them with you when you leave.

  3. You are welcome to continue to wear your face covering throughout the session.

  4. The Music Leader will be wearing a clear visor as you enter and exit and will remove it once all attendees are seated in their allocated spaces.

  1. Government guidance has changed regarding singing during parent and child groups. These changes impact adults singing indoors and are dependent on the number of adults attending. Music Leaders will instruct parents/guardians regarding singing procedures during the sessions as needed, in line with the new guidelines. For more information on these guidelines see:(https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-early-years-and-childcare-closures/actions-for-early-years-and-childcare-providers-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak?fbclid=IwAR02w3YoWJ4k_U5mdaZo1vsNaRGz09rvRorXrYdroIzIaD_dpC39qRYagG8#parent-and-child-groups)

  2. Current guidelines suggest that loud singing, chanting and calling out can increase aerosols in the air which can increase the risk of catching COVID-19. Music Leaders will be singing at a medium volume during the sessions and will maintain a minimum 2m distance from attendees, and the venue will be well ventilated in line with government guidelines around safe singing procedures.

  1. All sessions are non-refundable
