Kidz Live is a startup music education and entertainment company that provides classes, events and workshops for children and young people with live music at its core. Kidz Live believes that quality live musical experiences engage and motivate children and young people, promoting learning and development as well as helping to build a lifelong passion for music.
The main focus of our Early Years Practitioners is to lead baby and toddler music classes. These sessions are currently running in Richmond and are expanding across Southwest London. We are looking for Early Years Practitioners for all days of the week with one class needing a leader to start the week beginning 17th Feb 2020 and continuing every Monday morning.
We are looking for adaptable, enthusiastic and innovative music leaders who are committed to inspiring and engaging babies and young children through quality musical experiences. As well as teaching our baby classes, you will be invited to perform at Kidz Live shows and events including regular Baby Ceilidh’s and Dances, Little Kidz Live shows, Musical Messy Play as well as performing in Karaoke Kidz Live shows.
Our classes are based on school term times and we usually run 3x40 minute sessions in a 2.5-hour window. Most sessions are in the morning, however, there may also be afternoon sessions available. The sessions include newborn, toddler and mixed aged classes. We will be running sessions during the week as well as weekends.
The Kidz Live program has a particular structure and focus, however, is flexible and encourages music leaders to incorporate their own instrumental skills and repertoire choices. Kidz Live sessions are grounded in live musical experiences and therefore recorded music is used minimally in our sessions. All of our baby and toddler music sessions are linked to the EYFS national curriculum and focus on encouraging, supporting and facilitating musical responses and musical learning.
Training will be provided in the Kidz Live program including an initial paid training session and opportunities to observe sessions. Ongoing training and support, full lesson plans and resources will be provided to all Kidz Live music leaders.
